Building physics

Building physics  is a discipline in architecture in which research is carried out in and into the physical processes in building materials and building elements. These physical processes relate, among other things, to fire resistance, heat and moisture management and acoustics such as reverberation time, soundproofing and insulation.

In addition to the package of requirements and wishes desired by the client, the government also imposes requirements on building materials or building elements and constructions, among other things, with regard to health and safety, by means of the Building Decree. The Building Decree directs standards in which agreements are laid down how the building physics aspects must be assessed and tested.

Interim Bouwconsult bv has the expertise to assess and calculate architectural constructions on the above aspects.
